Mark Cohen, RTRP, AFSP
Mark Cohen is one of the Partner’s at Koondel, Cohen & Lampert, LLC and has been in the accounting and tax consulting business for 36 years with over 25 years as the firms partner in Taxation. He provides significant tax consulting and compliance services for clients in various industries including private companies with local, national and international operations.
Mr. Cohen has developed considerable experience with individual and corporate taxations, accounting for income taxes, compensation and financial planning.
Prior to starting with the firm Mr. Cohen completed his undergraduate work at Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.
Mr. Cohen is up to date with all continuing education requirements as required by the IRS and the National Society of Accountants. He is of a select group of Tax Return Preparers who have been designated to be in the IRS’s Annual Filing Season Program as of 2015. Mr. Cohen is a member of the National Society of Accountants and is also a Registered Tax Return Preparer.Areas of Expertise:

Michael LaLuna, CPA
Michael LaLuna is a certified public accountant with a wide range of experience in areas such as Assurance, Taxation and Internal Controls. Mr. LaLuna joined Koondel, Cohen & Lampert, LLC in the Fall of 2014 and is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. LaLuna was a Senior Accountant at one of the top 15 accounting firms in the country. While there, he gained experience working on Companies in areas such as Real Estate, Retail, Gaming and Entertainment, Technology, Software, Building Supply, and Insurance.
Mr. LaLuna also has some unique experience performing SOX 404 Internal Control Reporting, 401K Employee Benefit Plan Audits and Governmental Audits of Expenses.
Prior to becoming a CPA, Mr. LaLuna graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and subsequently spent 3 years playing professional baseball for various teams including the Detroit Tiger’s Single A Affiliate, Oneonta Tigers.
